You can use red bandana as a signaling device... Would be hard to do with OD shemagh. Now the ones that I seen had a softer feel to it than bandana and little thicker which means they take up much more space. Since the surface area is 4 times bigger obviously I can come up with more ideas for the use of Shemagh. But it would be the same if at any given time I had four bandanas on me. I would stick to them.
