story corp allows individuals to record in their own words their thoughts, their stories of their lives, for posterity.

this pre- 9/11 story made me laugh out loud.

if you have the bandwidth - you can hear the woman tell her story, she's 94.

go here to read the story or you can choose to listen to it.

Being back in the land of super slow internet access, with a lot of interference from nearby Naval facalities, I don't have a chance...

sorry, i don't think i explained that well.

you don't need high speed to read her story, only to hear her tell it.

Near about every day I tune into the local NPR station to catch the news and other programs. Good stuff.

I urge everyone to support your local public radio station.

Well, that helps explain where the MythBusters got this particular experiment from. Fortunately, it appears that more modern bras are made to withstand much higher pressure differences.

The day public television and radio gives me more than a tote bag for donating...is the day I start donating.

during their "need money drives" you need to listen - instead of turning them off.

during a recent drive we gave them $250.00 and they gave us 5th row tickets for the blue man group at the anaheim pond arena - now the honda arena.

maybe not your musical cup of tea, but we had a blast.

they really do give a lot back during their drives.

Silly me, when I donate to something, I don't expect anything in return, other than the recipient to keep doing whatever it is that they do...

I do support them, it’s called taxes.

They take my money and use it to push a political agenda I don’t always agree with. I’m not going to send them any more of my money.

I read someplace that Sesame Street generates almost $500 million dollars in toy sales a year, and Barney generates $160 million in toy sales a year. This money should be put back into public radio & TV, if it was there may not be any need to steal my money (taxes) to support it.
