First, I am specifying the phrase which sounds like you are not paying attention. Second, saying you like New York, NY does not support the phrase, "you're certainly not the only one living in a city."
A more clear statement would be: "Since, I live in New York, NY and like it, you're certainly not the only one [who likes] living in a city."
And if you continue to be quite so pedantic, you will find that fewer and fewer people will pay attention
