A box of 50 nitrile gloves cost me under $10 in a NYC drugstore within the last couple weeks.

As an aside, I have liked to use latex or nitrile golves as a base layer in cold weather. It's not something that will keep you really warm, but if you need to take off bigger gloves to do other things, you can leave on a thin layer and use your hands.

For carrying in the car, or for skinning, I like the Atlas coated finger garden/construction gloves. Keeps blood and liquids off
the hands and are cut resistant. Fairly snug fitting. You can
wear the latex underneath too.

I like the blue 5mil nitrile gloves. I have 4 pair in my big FAK, and 2 pair in my EDC FAK. I also have a bag with 10 pair in my Yukon. Amazing how warm they will keep your hands on a cold winters day! laugh
I also use them for catering, and go through several boxes of them a year.

I also buy whatever is in bulk at Costco. They are great for working on your car also.

Just to follow up, I was at Costco today. They sell 2 packs of gloves, 300 prs. total for $14.99. For that price, it's hardly worth buying them in smaller quantities. As someone else wrote, if you have to actually use them in a first aid/emergency event, you're most likely gonna use a couple pair minimum.

I keep 3 pairs in my belt pouch, another 3 or 4 pairs in my "jump" bag, and a couple more in my O2/airway bag and a spare box or two in my vehicle. Cheap insurance in my case.
