I've had a few conversation with a family member who has small children about making some preparations in case. A few things put away to either use in case bugging out is desirable, many of which would also be useful if bugging in. But, I am pretty sure little has been done, and I've been thinking about putting together some things. Any ever done this for someone besides the family they live with? If so what did you do, what would you suggest?
I want to keep it simple, basic, etc., but I want there to be something. I'm thinking about one of these and adding some things:
http://www.quakekare.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=17I'd like to add: a water container of a few gallons; a couple knives (maybe two SAK Farmers, two Moras and one larger blade); a couple tarps; and some basic hygenic stuff (soap, shampoo, wipes).
Any suggestions on how to do this cheaply but effectively?
