Price is about right. If you take it before the fallout gets into the food chain, you'll have a cancer free thyroid gland... too bad about your liver, pancreas, bones, stomach, etc.

It could make some difference if you're right on the edge of making it or not. But it would be better to understand about contamination and how not get the radioactive material into your system in the first place. And KI doesn't do anything for you in terms of "prompt" radiation.

You might want to see our discussion on this issue of about 8-10 mos. ago on this issue. Use an advanced search. Try the topic: Post Nuclear Event Survival. Also be sure to check the websites: ki4u and TACDA.

It's an easy issue to resolve. Research it. Then, EITHER buy your own ample supply at a modest cost (as my family did) OR decide you do not need it for whatever reasons you might have. I don't mean to be short with you, but for me (and even my wife) it was an easy decision. This forum actually discussed this issue fairly well then.

Incidentally, if you should ever actually need it, I suspect that the US govt. will make it available -- but at a date long after you (and more importantly your children) needed to have started taking it.
