Hello !!
In France the "Vieux Campeur" sells two kinds of solid fuel stoves :
- the ESBIT stove, wich, as Chris K. said, can be re-used a few times, as it has some kind of hinges to unfold/fold it. How long will it keep folding ..??..
It is sold for 7.7 Euros ( 1 Euro = 1 US dollar, or not far away these days), including 20 Esbit fuel tablets.
- the AMIFLAM stove, used by French Army, is supposed to be re-usable about 10 times, before breaking. You have to bend it - no hinges. Sold for 0.8 Euro (yes, less than 1 Euro !!), including a box of standard matches and 6 tablets of Amiflam solid fuel (supposed to last a bit longer than the Esbit tablet).
I keep one in my car PSK, strictly for emergency (ie being snowbound on the highway a whole night ... it happens sometimes in France ...) <img src="images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

The Esbit stove is on the next (click on the "suivant" button) page.
