For what it's worth...

Was digging around the attic and came across an old sealed Grabber brand air activated handwarmer. The expiration date was 1996. Opened it up, and used it outdoors, approx 40F. Heat output was good enough to warm up the hands, but certainly not "hot". Also lasted for only an hour. Not bad in my opinion for something 7 years expired.
