I had always been a Maglite girl, but my brother got me a Surefire G2 Nitrolon for Christmas, and I'm totally sold on it. It's SO BRIGHT considering its size and weight. My only beefs are that:

1) I wish they came in some better colors than tan, drab, olive drab, and drab olive
2) The business end does get really hot
3) I accidentally blind myself at least once every time I use it

I definitely need a few more of these. My brother said that he landed a helicopter with one when his landing lights crapped out on him.

Rusty...I'd add some "ranger bands" to supplement the zip-ties. They also burn really well, albeit a little on the smoky side.
