Have you looked at the Victorinox SwissTool Spirit? It doesn't quite meet your specs, but it's a lot thinner than the Leathermans and Gerbers, so it's not as noticeable on the belt, and it has real pliers and real tools that lock. I would probably go with the two-blade model; the scissors are only average.

my squirt p4, on my keychain, works for me on a regular basis.

my wave is on my pack, in my car, nearby, if needed.

just as my real tools are in the garage, in a tool box.

The Spirit looks rather nice. It is very close to the Crunch. However, it looks to have a little more functionality. I'll go look at one. Thanks.

I second the spirit s... lives in my edc bag and use it daily. Always with me.

I carry a Squirt P4 and a Squirt S4 on my keychain, with Swiss Tool Spirit in my kit. Handles everything I want them to do.
My kit also has a small pair of ignition pliers for bigger jobs

I have a P4 and like it. The pliers aren't up to big jobs, but they are OK as tongs and for things like cutting and bending safety pins. I was surprised at how useful the small philips screwdriver is. It often fits where one from the bigger tools won't.

I also have several in the Juice range, and currently every-day carry a Juice Cs4. To some extent bigger is better, but I suspect the cases where the P4 is inadequate but a Juice sufficient are rare. Generally if the P4 can't manage, you need something a lot bigger rather than just a little bit bigger. Eg for opening packages, in my experience there's not much difference between the blade on the P4 and the blade on the Juice. For a real cutting job I use one of my Ritters.

I am a fan of the Leatherman tools and own a few.

I bought a P4 about a year ago because I use pliers more than the scissors, I intended to attach it to my keyring.

The problem is that after carrying a full-sized Leatherman (PST, Wave and now TTi) on my belt for about 14 years I just cannot bring myself to stop, the P4 is still unused in my knife drawer. I guess I just do not have faith in it's small size.

Maybe I will use it on an EDC lanyard I have been thinking about making (whistle, spark-rod, multi-tool, mirror, para-cord) or in a readily accessable PSK.

How tough/useful is the P4?

I use a Leatherman TTi for serious stuff (work) and a Juice XE6 for E.D.C. UK carry laws being what they are. I have looked at a lot of mini tools and the XE6 is by far away the best of the bunch.

I have one simple question: Why in the Sam Hill do these companies waste space with a corkscrew? It is totally useless to me. I can't think laterally on this one.
