Thoughts and opinions on this Kershaw offering?

good blade steel but not to keen on the stripping on the blade and the price is high . but if it feels right in your hand and you can trust it then i spos it is worth the money.

Great knife. Build like a tank. Just remember that they are on the bigger side. They are designed to be a bridge between a folder and a fixed blade. I remember that the first time I handle it I had the same feeling when handling Strider GB: "this is freaking big". And it is... More suitable for belt/sheath carry than pocket carry.

As far as the performance goes: pretty smooth to open, solid lockup, holds the edge. Grip is comfortable and when working with it feels like you have a fixed blade on your hands. Slightly heavy to the rear becasue of the handle construction.

Just on the expensive side.

Thanks guys! Anyone have an idea how it would handle batoning? I would "think" that the weight and frame lock would make it a pretty hard to hurt.

Any Kershaw I've handled has had a bulletproof frame. My Cyclone is the sturdiest folder I've ever owned...though I'm sure the solid aluminum scales help. I think the only Kershaws you'd need to worry about are the few cheapies that aren't made in the US.
