I sit at home in what is someday going to be the front livingroom (still no furniture); there are youth group papers, kids toys and homewook scattered about, along with a stack of outdoor adventure maps and some mending. Out the window there is lots of snow, but it is a very bright day and only -9*c.

Sitting in an office facing away from the window. The opposite building is Loreal's headquaters, the ladies are too much of a distraction.

if i stand up and walk to the window, i see... a single cruise ship in harbour, the harbour, lots of palms, nothing really useful out my window to use.
now, if i stay in my cube... different story!

While sitting on the bank in Galveston, waiting on the wind to die down, I see, on the bank:
1 milk crate remains of a plastic buoy a clorox jug a plastic jug remains of a wooden structure (usable timbers) lots of Sea Grass (thatchable material) scrub brush
What do you see from your vantage point? Snow.

at the office - walkers, joggers, dog walkers, skateboarders, bicycle riders, beach front houses, palm trees, blue skies, para-sailers, outbound and inbound surfers, ingoing and outgoing cargo ships taller than the surrounding buildings, and some crazy ground squirrel with a big bushy tail that's definitely in the wrong neighborhood - that's so far managed to evade the local cats.

:)Currently sitting in my home office, surrounded by (2) computers, several Public Safety radios, my BOB and my EDC bag, several personal protection devices in close proximity, and too many more items to list.
