I'm pretty sure 3.6v would seriously shorten the life of your ARC. I'm guessing it might be a little brighter but at a very high cost to the LED. Besides, 9-10 lumens for a 5mm LED is pretty darn good considering my original AAA-Premium was around 3 lumens!
