"...have decided to replace the traditional silver duct tape with bright pink...for the added benefit of visibility."
I don't see any significant advantage for high-visibility duct tape in your PSK. The primary reasons to have it — improvised repairs, first aid uses, construction of shelter or improvised weapon etc. — usually don't benefit from high visibility. And in my experience, duct tape in non-standard colors hasn't had adhesion properties as good as what I normally buy (maybe I just wasn't buying the right brand in the bright-color stuff).
If you're thinking of it as a secondary signaling device, consider that the ETS Pocket Survival Pak includes 26-in.x 2-in. of duct tape; assume your kit has three times that, or 6-1/2 ft. That's slightly over one sq. ft. of tape. Not enough to be a meaningful signaling device or marker.
If your thinking is indeed signaling-related, get some
Day-Glo surveyor's tape. Since it's thin, narrow and light, you can repack your own roll of several yards without adding a lot of bulk or weight to your PSK. And for duct tape, buy the best duct tape you can find, even if it means subdued colors.
