Okay, here's what I've got:
back left pocket: mini Bic lighter, Sebertool M4 tool in rubberized pouch
front left pocket: Keys- home and car on 2 separatable rings, Carmex and white Photon III leashed to home keys
front right pocket: Emereson CQC-7 waved tanto, Victorinox Signature II, nail clippers in mini leather pouch, 5 pack of gum
back right pocket: wallet & change
Phone on belt pouch

In attache case or in coat pockets, cargo pants/shorts pockets as circumstances dictate:
-New Sun G3 gear pouch with Cybertool 34, contact rewetting drops, hard business card case w/ cards- I got room for more stuff in here!
-4.25"x3.5" nylon pouch with first aid kit similar to Doug's as described here.

What I'd like to add:
-Can anyone confirm if a Carmex tube would fit in this?

I live and work in DFW, Texas. I am more likely to be taking my computer apart than fixing an engine, so the Cybertool makes more sense. Am I really missing out not having a big pliers like a Leatherman Wave or similar?

When I play outside I take along the Ultimate Survival Deluxe tool kit, a Gerber folding saw and other stuff, so I don't feel like I am hurting for a saw, which is pretty much all the Leatherman offers that I don't already carry. Let me know what you think I need!

I'm not a computer wiz but when i had to replace my HD on my laptop i needed pliers-they are very useful-for a small tool with pliers try the leatherman squirt!

I am always surprised at how much I actually use my Leatherman Wave, so I always recommend it for briefcase or pouch carry in an EDC rig. I also have a SOG Crossgrip and a Swisstech Utilikey as a backup. Probably a little much. Plus yet another Utilikey and the allen wrenches for my Sebenza and TID-mounted Surefire E2E.

I really like the design of the SOG powerplier tools, but they are not as comprehensive as the Wave. My "doomsday" (as in earthquake or similar) kit has an Emerson Mini CQC7A and a SOG Mini Deluxe Power Plier. Unlike the Wave and the Sebenza, they can be maintained with ordinary tools. All the electrics (radio, flashlights) in the doomsday kit run on AA batteries.

I feel the same about my Wave, use it for something every day and loan it to someone once or twice a week. One guy forgot and left it on the counter, and of course I hasseled him about it for a week or so <img src="images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. Thats when I decided that sometime I am going to buy another for the vehicle kit as a spare/backup. I've got the tool adapter and have been buying various packages of bits to fit to build a mini took kit around it.

I was hoping to talk myself out of "needing" a Wave. You guys aren't helping! I guess it might be worth adding after all...

is there anywhere to put the adaptor on a sheath? is it worth buying?

I use my add-on kit very rarely. It really depends upon how many things you think you need to screw, I guess. <img src="images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

The kit comes in a goofy plastic box you can clip to your belt next to your sheath.

You can´t expect people in a forum like this to talk you out of aquiring a fine piece of equippment. But let´s try anyway.
Be adviced that having those tools is sort of adictive. Once you have one, you´ll devellop an urge to use it instead of asking for help. That way you´re going to miss opportunities to leave work to other people <img src="images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />. Even worse you can´t idle while waiting for the people with the tools. I never needed one of those Waves. Well, at least until I aquired one <img src="images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />. Now it´s probably the most frequently used tool I have <img src="images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />. That deprived me of excuses to buy a couple of other tools <img src="images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.

My wave came in a leather sheath that also houses the tool adapter. This is a good sheath with a bit of spare room. I have added a Hot Spark and a couple of commonly used hex wrenches to it.

I think the Leatherman tool adapter is very useful. You can use it either attached to the tool or separately. I have added few bits that are specific to my normal uses. I recommend the adapter.

I added a slip of plastic across the belt cuts to prevent the Wave file from rubbing on my belt.
