With todays modern factory loads a .380 is NOT a cap gun. Bare bones minimum IMHO, but still capable of disabling an opponent with proper shot placement. The seecamp is a fine pistol, although the north american arms .380 guardian might be a better deal for you. Cheaper, readily available (seecamps are notorously back orderd, limited production and small batches) and roughly the same size. A word to the wise, firing a .380, also known as a 9mm kurtz (short) in a pistol that small is quite the handfull but seeing as how pistols this size are designed/intended to be used at arms length the "healthy" muzzle flip shouldn't be too bad a problem as far as getting back on target. I have one and am very pleased with it.
BigDaddyTX I am a "plastic fanatic" so I fully endorce the glock choice, but I also have a beretta 92F. The beretta has the smoothest slide action I have ever had the pleasure to manipulate

both are fine guns.
