Guess where this is...

Haleakala National Park, Maui, Hawaii.

This one's from the newspaper. My sister is emailing me some that she took today. If they look good, I will post them.

Not counting the higher elevations where we regularly have snow, it's currently in the cool 60's.

Here's a picture my sister emailed me.

Geez, we are expecting temps in the 80s by the end of the week here. Meanwhile my daughters up in Spokane are getting buried. Supposed to snow on them for the next week solid. They've already got over two feet on the ground and they closed the campus yesterday, although track practice is still on for them.

Needless to say, they are wishing they were here in Florida with me now. Y'know, I would be more than happy to trade places. I am sick of this endless summer.

" Endless Summer" Ouch, that hurt.

We were above freezing here yesterday, followed by a flash freeze last night and now the wind is gusting to 70 km/hm. My 3 kids are home from school because the school buses would be blown off the country roads as they are very icy. I am sure the kids will make the most of there free day... like sleeping, playing video games and watching TV.

Its 28c (about 83F) here in the Caymans, sun shining, with a chilly wind (well, chilly for here - i joke that its the wind chill).

Back home (Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada) my parents are enjoying 0c (32f), messy and I think they just got one mess of a snow storm over the weekend. Its actually quite warm for this time of year, but suppose to drop by this weekend.

Shovelling drive ways, warming up a car for 20-30 mins just to go to work, commute time increasing just cause of the snow/wind/ice/etc, totally different wardrobe due to the weather, no bikini's around on the beaches or in town, walking outside, etc... They can keep it. Had enough of it for 25+ years, that being away from it definitly a nice break.

Besides its our winter here, no humidity and usually a max of 80f. I've been down here long enough that i actually find that chilly!

Good luck to all you where the snow falls and the temperature drops.

Geez, they're saying 81 degrees here today. The wife is out east of Denver and says they got to -4 this morning. I sure wish I'd have gone with her.

Gonna sit here and sweat again today. Groan...

Benjammin, wait till you have been down here a while. It won't be long before you will be saying "it's 80 degrees, i need to put on a jacket".
