Well my post about my 25 below capable sleep system went over really well so I'm sure you'll all be happy to know that I temporarily lost my mind today and spent more money to make it even better.

The Aleutian bag is great but no good in the summer. I wanted something that would cover me for late spring through early fall. I also wanted something that could be used over the Aleutian for additional winter warmth and something that could be used by itself on summer nights. Finally, I wanted that something to be one thing and not several things that would take up space in my closet.

I mentioned this one in one of the previous posts but today I bought one. The Penguin 2 overbag (long size) from the MEC. It's nice and light. Rated to +15C by itself and is supposed to add up to 10 degrees to any bag it's used with. Should take my system into the -30s while still being able to strip down for warm weather too.

I'm about to cross my fingers and insert it into the other layers...I hope there's enough space! I'm sorta taking a gamble missing The North Face, MEC, REI, and AMK stuff into one bundle. I'll take pictures and add to the post when done.
