I think I heard that this strobe has a turn on feature for regular light so it can be used as a flashlight. Is this true? I got one but I can't figure out how to do it. It may be not true or I just may be technically chalenged.

If you're talking an ACR CSAR strobe, there is a particular model of the strobe known as a ?"Doublefly" that can operate as an incandescent lamp for about two hours.

I'm pretty sure you use the same on off switch. OPnce for normal lite then the next time you swith it up it goes into strobe mode.
Guys be aware the battery compartment has a nasty habit of falling too bits. The little bits of wire break inside it. Also the blue flimsy plastic infa red? screen often breaks as well.
The old 4FR is a tried and true piece of kit. The MS2000 is a flimsy piece of crap. My opinion.

I've been using that strobe for about 7 months now both for marking areas, locators, safety and fun. And I think that it's a little tought piece of equipment. I mean I don't beat it up with a stick but I don't baby it either. It's getting it's share of abuse. One of the problems that I have with it is that with IR shield extended sometimes I would turn the strobe on and forget to turn it off. It will be flashing until batteries die since I can't see the IR light with naked eye so I'm assuming that I shot it down. Otherwise it's a fine peice of equipment.
