I'm new here. I just wanted to say hello to all of you, and to give a little bit of my background.

First of all, I have been browsing these forums for about 2 days. Within those 2 days, I have learned a hell of a lot. Thanks to all of you for that.

Second, I am rather new to being a "survivor". Although, I have been raised in multiple environments - mountains, forests, deserts and Germany (lol). I have a lot of stories to tell (all as a child/teen).

Third, I love the outdoors. I love animals, insects and all life. Although, I am realistic in my views, and have no problem killing them for my own survival. It may sound, and may be arrogant, but it's the truth.

So, that's the overview of who I am. Over time, I'm sure I'll share my stories. However, I am here to learn and listen, first and foremost. Again, thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge.

Jimmy

Welcome Jimmy!

Rule one there are no dumb or stupid questions. The only exception is the one you don't ask.

It may be a simple question. It might even be one that after you see the answer you say I should have already known that. But even the easiest question might contain a critical piece of information. That one piece of info might mean the difference between an unpleasant outing and not getting back at all.

Besides even simple questions allow the old hands to show off.

I've been doing this kind of thing for more years than I like to think about. But I have picked up things I didn't know from the most innocent questions.
