A new group devoted to learning/praciting primitive skills is starting up on the north side of Houston
Pineywoods Primitive Skills Group

We plan on meeting on Sunday afternoons twice a month out at the Peckingpaugh Nature Preserve, though times and places have not been set in stone.

The organizer of this group is a graduate of Tom Brown, Jr.'s Tracking Schooland a real nice guy. All are invited. This should be a lot of fun!

Once you get this going strong I'd love to see the press release that you've branched out into the Denver/Boulder area. Sounds fun!

Pete,

Thanks for the MAPS link, I hadn't seen that one before.

To our Austin, TX area members, here is a similar Tracking and Primitive Skills Group

BigDaddy,

I didn't see an Easter Egg on the google map, but there is a jetliner visible in the lower right corner of this view.

Could that be it?

I have this theory that the dinosaurs were wiped out by cavemen with hand grenades...

Well, obviously I first need to bring the dinosaurs back. After that I can start lobbing the grenades at them. grin

I love being a scientist, we get to do all sorts of fun, unholy stuff...
