yeah, in boyscouts me and my friends use the one handed bolwline to amazine the little scouts (what we refer to the new scouts as) I learned the french bowline and it truly is very easy once you know the bowline, just pass it through one more time before you go around, and remember, the drunk went out of the bar, to the atm and back to the bar (:

Zeppelin bend = my favorite for joining two ropes of same diameter.

Double Sheet Bend (aka Double Becket Bend) = my favorite for joining two ropes of different diameter.

I want to find the guy who called that the impossible knot and do whatever the opposite of buying him a beer is, sorry if it was someone here...but seriously, a double fisherman's?
