I'm talking about this site for listing books you're currently reading, your to-read list, and your book recommendations.

I love how the Lending Library forum lists some book titles I can check out later at my library, but GoodReads could list anything else you guys recommend as well. I'm currently reading a book about Ada Blackjack because of this post (thanks Norad45!) and via an inter-library loan that took awhile but was well worth it. Just finished The Road and it speaks well about the more intangible tools of survival (like a father's love for his son).

My profile is here. I've got a shelf just for survival (and one just for books I've illustrated, if you want to check those out, too! grin). If enough of us are on it, perhaps we could start an ETS group.

Hey, that's a neat site! I trust book recommendations from people here a lot more than the New York Times.

I'll try and get a profile up in a few days. Christina, send me a PM to remind me if I don't have one up by Jan 10th.

Thanks!

Thanks Christina,

This looks like a pretty cool site!
I think I just might join to get some Sci Fi recommendations! smile

For Sci-Fi check out this publisher's free library. They've released collections of an author's works on a CD in the back of a hardback before. If you're a fan of David Weber, find a copy of At All Costs with the CD still in it.

Another free e-book website is www.wowio.com. One of the books I recommend from this site is the Hunter's Guide to Medical Emergencies.

This site has tons of free books from classics to current.
