Naw, I got the pun there, just adding my other two cents...

Missed the SG-1 reference. I just got the whole series on DVD, special collector's edition (212 1 hour episodes plus a whole lotta extra footage stuff), I figure that will keep me busy through the better part of the year, given the limited amount of free time left in my schedule. I also heard they are coming out with a couple big screen movies based on the series (smells like TNG to me).

I never thought SG-1 would go the distance when it first came out. I figured maybe 3 or 4 years tops, with waning interest, but it was astonishing the number of people who got into it and were sad to see it end.

Okay, MacGyver it ain't, but there was certainly more than a hint of ETS in the way it was written.

I don't think a cougar is any match for most bears of any size. If the bear didn't take out the cougar, he wasn't worried about it. A male African lion on the other hand is a different story. Just my opinion.

Hmm, could be. My experience is likened to that of watching our lab interface with the neighbor's cat. Dogs are touch, but that cat has held his own, and more than once I've heard the typical cat squall followed by a series of yelps.

One thing for sure, neither bear nor cougar would stand up to a wolverine attack for long.
