I've just sent an email to Spyderco as I've finally had an opportunity to measure the angles...unfortunately it's after I've already sharpened all my knives.

It became obvious to me once I started sharpening a hard knife with S30V steel that something was definitely wrong. The angle of the left and right sticks are both off. One isn't angled enough and the other is too angled (I'm not happy about what this has potentially done to nearly all my knives). There is also a difference between the angles of the course rods and the fine rods...which leads me to believe my knives aren't as sharp as they could be...or should be.

I think I'm going to dust off my Lansky system, pick up an extra course diamond hone for it and re-bevel everything...start from scratch using the Lansky. It might not be my favorite but it does make a sharp knife.
