I make mine about 6 inches long. Roughly the length of a dollar. That way it fits nicely in the bill compartment of a wallet. I start with a piece of waxed paper 3 X 6 inches then wrap untill it reaches the desired thickness. The waxed paper keeps the first twowraps from sticking glue to glue. That way that much tape is not wasted. Because the glue to glue bond is such that is almost impossable to seperate the two. Besides even if you can what you have left would be almost worthless for its intended use.
