In the Military we have been called out as aid to civil power on a few occasions when the SHTF here in Canada. Things like the Quebec ice storms, Manitoba floods and the Forest fires in BC. We would be deployed as manpower to help evacuate people, bring supplies, build fire breaks or build water barriers etc. You would be surprised at how many times we would be tasked to the rich neighborhoods first, or to protect the summer home of some politician!! It made me sick.........
