i think the saying in engish was: beter save than sorry.
"better to prevent than to recover" i just a transalation of the dutch version. ( voorkomen is beter dan genezen )

i have seen huge mil-spec type of dressing for burns, maybe thats beter to treat serious burns than the creams...
