The wooden and white powder coated MagLites are awesome.

I always liked the MagLites. They never had the cache of some of the pricier brands but they were always solid and dependable. Especially so considering their reasonable price.

Adding the NiteEze LED conversion kit, about $5, made them even better and more reliable. Seeing as the tiny incandescent bulb was always the weak pint. Addingthe NiteEze headband, about $6, made the hand torch into a very effective headlamp.

The new MagLite LED version is even better but it comes at a much higher price.
