Blast: I don't remember how I cut the hole. It was a long time ago and I can't even remember what I had for breakfast. Probably used a dremel tool with a cutting wheel.
I thought that if I cut up the handle it would bend under severe use, but so far I have not been able to bend it. Of course I have not put a pipe over the handle. But as hard as I can work it by hand it has not deformed. I also filled in that annoying notch on the end of the handle. I have pounded on the end several times and so far no breaks in either the JB weld or the handle.
Great knife. I have several benchmade folders, but I seem to EDC the becker necker and not the BM's. Also have a Becker Crewman which I reserve for "serious" work.
