Former Armoured engineer as it were, I have since remustered to a new job in the army. My heart remains behind the steering bow of a 50 tonne, 830 horsepower AVLB or AEV though.
Same here, I've flown a desk for a few years now. I hate it with a passion and long for oil under my skin and power at my fingers. Still, a life expectancy of 12 seconds was always a bummer.
And throwing a track in the middle of nowhere with no one but you and your crew commander to put it back on. Or even better, Blowing a powerpack. I guess I don't miss that aspect much.
Well....there was talk of LBV. I found a civi vest in dark blue with 6 pockets on one side and 7 on the other: Thrift Store for $2.00. I will try it out.
