I am trying to communicate to a woman on another board what Polyvinyl Acetate (PVA) glue is. White glue, craft glue, Elmer's Glue.

I've tried a couple of Russian/English dictionaries online, but that didn't work. There is something called White Russian Glue, but the word 'phenix' or something like that was related to it, which doesn't sound right.

Anybody?

I work with a couple of Russians. Let me ask them and I'll get back to you.

From my coworker:

In Russia we call it : PVA glue - PolyVinyl Acetate.

He also sent me a gif of it in Cryllic but I can't attach it from my work computer. It looks something like this:
IIBA KJIEH

The II looks like two capital letters "i" attached at the top and the H has a "U" shaped curved line over it's top.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Blast. I'll pass that on and see if she can decipher it.

Like this?

ПВА КЛЕЙ

(Hooray, Unicode! No, I’m not Russian nor do I understand, speak, or write it. A guy I play Flight Simulator with is and does, though.)

Try spaseeba....dobrye den....and drasvyut! It may not have much to do with glue, but it'll invoke a friendly smile from your friend. smile
