They are called Omniseal waterproof bags and the best selection of different sizes that I've found is from Survival Resources although REI also carries a few sizes of them as well. My impression is that the Aloksak bags ar generally better at keeping water out, but the Omniseal bags are more durable and puncture resistant. Jim

I've used the Omniseal plastic bags before. Durability is a matter of use. Don't let them get cold or freeze. I was handling a frozen bag (in a friendly way) and it split at the seam (used as a map case). Another broke at the seal. My experience is that they get brittle when cold. Although the Aloksak says they are waterproof to 60 metres, I have problems keeping the one supplied with DRPSK and the one in my AMK FAK in a sealed condition. But then again I managed to get water into my 75m "waterproof" watch while going swimming so take that comment with a grain of salt! For my money, ordinary ziplocks work pretty well for me... sometimes doubled up for safety.

If it has to be waterproof, it is hard to be tupperware and duct tape, inside two ziplocks, and more duct tape.
No, I don't do light. I do dry.

Wouldn't the ziploc in this case be more organizational than protective? The baggie of matches is inside a Pelican case...IMO the ultimate protection from the elements. I have a 1060 and two 1010s in my bag.

Beat me to it. Same setup, DR PSK, AMK Heatsheet with plenty of room to spare. I had already managed to squeeze a DR Photon, 6 REI Matches plus striker, 6 Micropure tabs, and two breastmilk bags into the original package.

I got afew Omniseal bags (I think intended for hunting licences?) with the intention of putting together my own Ritter-ish PSK but havent got round to it yet. Im STILL in the process of moving my SAS tins from tobacco tins to BCB mini mess tins. There are never enough hours in the day (this "working for a living" lark really eats into my schedule!)

I have to second the Aloksak suggestion. I carry my DR PSK in a Spec Ops Mini Organizer and use the Aloksak as an extra bit of protection...but I'm going to check into the Pelican case for kit carry.
Is it the 1060 that people are fitting the PSK and Heatsheet with room to spare in?

I like Aloksaks in a small Kifaru Ultralight Pullout for waterproof organization for FAKs and PSKs.

I don't have it with me but I think it is the 4x5 inch version.
