Dear fellow parents,
You know when the kids are driving you batty?
When they are whining, when they throw a tantrum, when they just won’t listen or shut up?
Cherish those moments, and every other possible moment with them.
I just learned on the way home from work that my friend's daughter, age 8, died last night.
I knew her, and her younger sisters, and her mother and her school friends.
She was a smiling young girl, and she loved to come see her daddy at the firehall when we held public events.
The moment that is childhood is all too fleeting, the time we get to spend with them before they grow up too short, adding up to but a moment in our busy lives.
