Hutch66,
FWIW, after having my Superleatherman Tool for several years, I managed to break the small screwdriver.
It was absolutely my fault.
That said, I emailed Leatherman asking about how much it would cost to have them replace the blade. They said to send in in and they would look at it and talke to me. I did, and a week later, I got an email that said the knife had been repaired and was being sent back.
Talk about SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I broke the tool, and wanted to pay for the repair, as I felt it did not really fall under their warranty, they elected to repair it at no cost to me. Their staff was very friendly, communicative (had several email back and forth) and really made my day.
As far as I'm concerned, they are great, and I've made a point of buying more of their products when the need arose.
To make a long storyshort, give them an email or call, and see about sending yours in for some TLC.
