Gary,

Take a trip over to REI or HTO, you should find everything (plus much much more) in either of these two stores.

If you wanted something a little nicer and more durable for both a light and multi-tool, many suppliers like Galls sell firearm magazine/flashlight holders made from leather. I have carried a Leatherman and Surefire in one of these.

Just a quick word on the moleskin. I have found the Dr. Scholl's to stay on the best. Don't try buying them on surplus sites, they will send you the GI issue. (Trust me I've tried them in military operations and they are terrible) I would also stay away from any other blister remedies sold in stores. i.e., blister packs. They are bulky on the foot and rub off easily.

OK -- the Nite-Ize Mini Pock-its came in the mail yesterday. It's not going to work for me. Yes, it has two pockets, one for a multi-tool and one for a flashlight. What I quickly determined is that it will hold both only if

1. The multi-tool is a relatively slim one, not the LM Charge I'm carrying, and

2. It will really only fit a Mini-Maglight, since the pocket positioning is such that the large head sits above the multi-tool,
and the much slimmer body of the Mini-Maglite sits behind it.

I'm going to go through the previous replies for alternatives. Meanwhile, I've got a new/unused Mini Pock-Its available if anyone
wants it, and can live with its limited applicability... -Gary

Would Maxpedition double-wide multi-tool/flashlight sheath work? Measurements look compatible with the LM Charge.

I was trolling our local Bass Pro shops in Maryland and had a flash of insight -- they had an array of handgun magazine pouches there. I foind a single pouch from Meyer Co, that fit my HDS flashlight almost perfectly and was only a smidgen wider than the leatherman pouch. I picked it up and I've been using it since.

So, OK, now I have two pouches on my belt. But they are as reasonably small together as I can expect and it solved my problem. I hope my "thinking outside the box" helps someone else. -Gary

I use .45cal double magazine pouch made out of leather but the canvas ones also work very well. The leather ammo pouch requires me to put a little paper filler into the bottom so that the Leatherman will ride high enough to be easily retrieved when needed. My buck 110 fits into the pouch perfectly.

I wrap some nylon thread around and between the two pouches.

I also hang a halyard clip from one of the two belt loops. I hang my hat or tools from this clip, depending on what I am up to at the moment.
