Here I am, with my wonderful GF, watching the Pat's beat up on the Redskins and anticipating a Red Sox Home Series win and thinking this is a great day.

My point is that we should all take time out to enjoy the good things in life while they are still here.

Sometimes you should stop and smell the roses and just enjoy. cool

Carpe Diem.

Happy to be Alive,

A toast to sharp blades, bright flashlights, and fresh water (with which to make ice cubes for a lovely bit o' scotch)!

Fortunately, when my beer runs dry, I still have my 40-bottle wine cooler next to my desk (it just fits well). Yeah, a Merlot and football don't really go, but neither does a Chardonnay smile

My dad's "little" wine-making hobby ensures an adequate supply, 24/7/365.

Well, OK. As unAmerican as it might sound, I am not a baseball, or basketball fan, and gave up on football about ten years ago (my wife was a "football widow" in her former marriage). Don't drink much beer anymore (went to vodka and rum), and we always keep a goodly supply of that in the "booze locker" of our home on wheels. Mix it with powdered OJ (Crystal Lite), and always have a bunch of that on hand also. As far as beer in the BOB, a word to the wise...DO NOT waste your money on the powdered beer that REI sells (or at least used to), that stuff is NASTY!!!

Blitz,
As a lifelong Redskins fan, yesterday's game was tough to swallow, but not a surprise. Any sports fan should be able to appreciate quality, and that's what the Patriots exhibited. I do think, however, that the Redskins could actually learn from the ETS site and next time come a little more "PREPARED"!
Hail to the Redskins anyway.

I've just got to mention that one of my neighbor was telling me that four of his friends went on a 2.5-day river canoe trip this summer. Each canoe had an enormous (large enough to mail four small children Alaska) cooler of beer.

Then it turned into a 2-day canoe trip when they discovered that two of the guys forgot their flotation vests, and NOBODY brought any food.

Focus, gentlemen, FOCUS.

Ain't it strange how we all sometimes have trouble remembering where the forest is because of all those beers that stand in the way????

And to make matters worse, the stuff, besides tasting nasty, had no alcohol. You had to add everclear or something to give it any kick...

And I am sorry to say that I bought ONE packet to try, just for the fun of it. No fun came from it at all...
