Why does everyone pack aluminum foil in their kits. Dumb question probably, but that's how to learn.

aluminium foil can be used to make something to boil water in it, cook food in it, use as fishing lure ( its shiny ), can be ussed as a improvised signal mirror, etc...

It´s really versatile. Once you have it you´ll discover many uses for it. I even used it to replace a lost copper seal on a car.

There are a number of uses.Mold it in to a pot,signal mirror,fishing lures, grill fish on,and if you can find a forked limb you can make a frying pan.There are many many other uses.

Just one thing to add<br>Make sure it is the Heavy Duty Aluminium foil. That is if you want your improvised cooking pot to hold a fait amount of water. <br>And pack lots....it folds really flat.<br><br>
