I downloaded Survival episodes 1&2 on to my computer so i could always have them on my I-pod, and to watch at one of my scout meetings. I watched them, and to my utter astonishment, there were no subtitles!!!! ): Does anyone know the reason for this. There were subtitles when i watched it on google video. Can anyone help??

There is a subtitle file you also must download into the same folder (I think). Check back on his site and he has tips on how to get the translation files along with the videos. Playing it on Google must have joined these two files together.

I have downloaded the program needed to run it, but the only problem is that I can't get the subtitle in a file format, when I click the "download Subtitle" link I just get a web-page that has all of the sub-titles.

Subtitles in Google Video are generated by the Streaming player (that is the Web Site), and are not actually part of the video. When you download the video, you are downloading only the video, not the subtitles, which are in a separate file and not actually part of the video file.

To download the subtitle file RIGHT CLICK on it and "save target" or "save linked file"

You should be able to force the file to open in Wordpad or a similar simple text editor.
