i've finally finished unpaking boxes in my new house (i've only lived here since june!) and i came across a few survival books that i forgot i owned. i've just finidshed re-reading "take the survival challenge" and i thought i'd recommend it to people on here. the main body of the book is an account of a self imposed 5 day survival exercise and it makes for a quite interesting read. anyway, i'll let you make your own conclusions. the book's called "take the survival challenge" the author is Jim Aitken ISBN 0-85368-972-5. hope some of you find it interesting.<br><br>take it easy.<br>stuart.

Another good book that I came across is Paul Tawrell's Camping & Wilderness Survival: The Ultimate Outdoors Book (ISBN 1-896713-00-9). This book is graphic intense and has tons of useful content. I think it was made in Canada in 1996, I happened across it at a Bookman's used bookstore and quickly snatched it up. I also have the SAS Survival Handbook by John Wiseman which is a great book as well.

Coincidentally I just started reading it. I got it at Costco about 6 - 12 mos. ago. I looks informative.<br><br>John
