I think this is probably what you are looking for:

He's not here in the states, and you can't really find a supplier in the U.S. because the NRC deems them to be used for a "frivolous purpose". It's o.k. if it's on your handgun sights or your watch, but not your keychain. Go figure!

There are also just the little vials without the plastic keychain if you look around on the B/S/T forum of candlepowerforums.com. You have to protect the vials from breaking because they're glass. Some people mill small slots into something and put them in with a bit of clear epoxy. I've got a few and think they're pretty neat. Great to have on your flashlight, because then you can find your flashlight in the dark.

These guys are based in the US, and have them listed as "Temporarily Sold Out." I've never ordered from them, but you could drop them an email and see if they expect them to be in stock any time soon, or if they're unavailable due to U.S. regulations.

Hi Shadow_ooOO

You can get the tritium kit markers here at

http://www.johnbullclothing.com/accessories.asp

and betalights here

http://www.shop.edirectory.co.uk/penrith_survival/55/mia/pid/242045

I guess it must be a bit easier in the US to get yourself some U235 or Pu than in the UK. You would have to buy quite a few betalights to get enough to build yourself a tritium boosted weapon though. crazy

Permanently sold out for Joe Public. The NRC is really anal about "frivolous use of tritium".

Anyone know what the penalties are if you try to import one or two and get busted at customs?

Import sounds so bureaucratic, it's just a small padded envelope in the mail.

At the worst they would just confiscate them. I've gotten a couple of the keychains and a dozen or so tritium markers that I've put on things, from three different countries: Hong Kong, Germany, and The Netherlands. Never had any problems. I've even gone through the airport several times with the keychain and a flashlight with several markers on the bezel. The usual response is "Wow! That's cool. Where can I get one?" One girl desperately wanted two of them for earrings.
