My wifes grandfather was a missionary in Kenya from 1938 till after world war 2. He carried a collapsible cup made of silver plated brass. On the cover it had a magnifying glass and on the base/cup side it had a compass. It still works perfect today. When it was folded it had a storage space as all collapsible cups do. Has anyone seen a similar item? I would love to have something like this. <br><br>Perhaps I could modify one of the cheap plasic ones.

I've seen bog standard plastic green cups which are collapseable to half its size. To me they seem quite handy as you just slip them into your pocket and weigh next to nothing. On this side of the pond they can be purchased in every outdoor shop. I'll let you knwo if I see them on the net.<br>Reinhardt

I know this is an old post but look on Ebay I have bought 4 different ones, none as u describe but close, two were from England and two from here in the states, but because of noise I ended up going with a Coleman I bought at Target.
