I carried two filled at the 6oz mark in a cargo pocket for a short 3 mile nature walk and had no problems. I don't think I would add more than the recommended 6ozs in one bag. I don't want to test them any more then what I would need them for in an emergency situation. I think that may be overlooking a good thing in a bad situation for a great thing in an ideal situation.
