I liked that nested flask and cup also and found it on the Sigg website. Price seemed reasonable so I ordered it.

This is mine:

[img][/img]

All the bits on the left hand bandanna go in the tobacco pouch.

Knives are:
Spyderco UK pen knife.
SAK Farmer.
Leatherman juice XE6.

Torches are:

Inova X1.
Surefire E2L.
Streamlight Stylus.

E.D.C. Ring has:

B.C.B Fireball ferro rod.
Life systems whistle.
Suunto Clipper compass.
Red & White Photon lights.
Spark-Lite.
Pill fob with 3 Tinder-Quick tabs.

Other bits;

Full sized Swedish fire steel.
DOAN Magnesium block.
Blast whistle.
2 clipper lighters.
2 15' lengths of paracord.

The pouch contains:

Spark-lite + 8 tinder.
Signal mirror.
Contact gloves (medical examination)
Sewing kit including needles large enough to sew with paracord inner strands.
MP-1 puritabs.
Batteries.
Schrade peanut knife.
2mm cordage.
Magnifying glass.
Tin foil.
Steri-wipe.
Box of mixed safety and B.C.B. Lifeboat matches.
P38 can opener.
8' duct tape.
Fine diamond sharpener.
Wire.
Safety pins.

Sounds like a lot but it's not. The pouch goes into one pocket quite happily.

My load out is designed to deal with everyday problems and "situations". Like not being able to get home.

A major problem in the U.K. is "Reasonable Cause" for tool & knife carry. That means no locking knives around town. As the law in the U.K. stands at present I do not have to explain any of the one's in the picture. And yes, they were selected so that I can tell an overzealous Officer to mind his own business. If he arrests me I have no case to answer and attempted confiscation will result in me making a citizen's arrest of him for theft and misuse of office. After all, if I am commiting an offence then he should arrest me. Confiscation is simply "I fancy that and you are going to give it to me - or else......"

Not in this life buddy......

That looks like a good kit selection.

Everytime I open this thread I think of something I have changed from the article....maybe I need to write a supplement grin

I have a small velcro closed nylon case on my belt with 2 pair of latex gloves and a CPR barrier shield. This is much easier to use then the zip pouch in one of my vest side pouches.

BTW...this is the coin wallet I carry now, the Mission Wallet. I do not use the knife slot but my Rescue Reflectors mirror just squeezes in should I want to carry it that way. But mostly it has a handfull of coins including some gold dollars and a couple of buttons. The pen slot can nicely hold a 0.5mm lead refill box set up with a couple of needles prethreaded and wrapped around the needles. It is a bit less easy to dig coin out of then the old slotted wallet, but it is very nicely made, comfortable to carry and is holding up very well.

Schwert,

Could you please list the dimensions of that awesome flask? I wonder if it's small enough to fit in my purse.

Thanks!

No, the flask gets carried around or sits on my desk, but it does not fit a pocket. I does nicely slide into the end pocket of my carry bag much easier than the round Sigg's do.

It is about 2" thick at the middle.
