1. (Moleskin) I've been to most of the drugstores in my area (Maryland, between DC and Annapolis) and can't find any stores stocking moleskin for blisters. Is there a recommended place to get it online?

2. (Belt Pouch) I've gotten used to carrying a Leatherman Charge in its nylon sheath on my belt now, but I'm still constantly forgetting my HDS B60 flashlight. Does anyone make a small belt pouch that will hold both the Leatherman and a small flashlight? I'd wouldn't want something much larger than the two side-by-side, and sturdy. Anything like that exist? (In a search I found something called the Cinebags CB-05 -- can anyone offer an opinion? cinebags.com.)

-Gary

(Bonus question -- source for a metal cup that fits around the bottom of a Nalgene bottle?)

For the cup theres GSI Outdoors and Olicamp. Try Campmor.com or be prepared.com they both carry the cups.

I think this might be the pouch you are thinking about.

Pock-its Utility Holster

I have no connection with the company other than as a consumer. It took several years but I wore one out. I'm now on my second one.

To concur with Raspy, I use the Pock-its Utility Holster every day for just this purpose and love it. It also has a few extra little pockets where I carry a few band-aids and some emergency money. Highly recommended.

The moleskin – are you looking in first aid, or in foot care? Our Safeway and Walgreen's have in foot care (near the Dr. Scholl's etc. products).

For my 32-oz. Nalgene, I'm using a Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700. Technically, it's not a cup, but a pot. It comes with lid and mesh bag (only used for hiking trips). Perfect size cook-pot for small hiking stoves, and fits the Nalgene perfectly. Snow Peak Trek 700

If you really want minimal weight/bulk for Leatherman/HDS light side-by-side, you might consider having a custom-fitted Kydex sheath made (guessing $25-30). Several folks on various forums who make them.

I have been using a dual pouch from Western Case Company for a long time, and am very happy with it. I also use their cases for my cell phones. They use the strongest belt clip I have ever seen, you will not lose one of their cases, which can not always be said for other brands of clip-on pouches...

I just found and ordered two GSI stainless cups that fit under the 32oz. Nalgene bottles from basspro.com With shipping they were only approx. $13.00. Can't really recommend them yet...but they look good!

I have one of the Nite Ize pouches, I carry my cell phone and a small light in it. I've had it for over a year and it's held up very well. I would not hesitate to purchase again.

Thanks for the info -- all solid leads. I agree, the Nite Ize pouch looks the best, and based on your references I'm placing an order right away.

I only checked the band-aid/first aid aisles for Moleskin, so I will go back and look in foot care.

Again, thanks. Asking here is always the right thing. -Gary
