Why not just get a Niteize Maglite Headband for now and wait until the manufactures of head torches start putting Cree XR-Es or Lumideds Luxeon Rebel LEDs into their designs.
The Princton Tec Apex is quite good a headlamp but again I would wait for the next incarnation of the design with the newer LEDs, which will no doubt be very soon.
