We have Dean coming right at us, and he just became a hurricane this morning.

Nice welcome back from vacation!

I hear that. I'll be hunting for the next 10 days at 10000+ feet. Hurricane season is one of the few times of the year that I'm glad I don't live on the coast.

I'd love to be on the mainland where I can drive away from the coast if I can. But i'm on a 22x9 mile island in the Caribbean. At least i'm on an evac flight with work, which we rent a whole jet for all employees who sign up for it.

I'm not going to be here for another disaster like Ivan. Its bad enough to come back and clean up but to also watch the diaster is nother thing.

We'll know more in the next few days if i'll be in some foreign country!

I'll be trying to get out of Corpus Christi ahead of Dean.

I'm still at HurCon III because of the wind and the 7200 square feet of sail area that I have to push to Corpus Christi.

I may be able to leave tomorrow morning, if the wind dies down so that can go to HurCon V.
