Anyone have any ideas of what the shelf lives of these things are, and whether their shelf lives are shorter or longer than the regular jars of peanut butter?

The Skippy Squeeze Tube Peanut Butter is coded with a "purchase by" date found under the crimp.
The best when purchased date is the date that assures the best product quality and allows for a reasonable period of storage and usage (2 to 3 months at room temperature) after that date. It may gradually become stale over time. The best guide to freshness is simply smell and taste.
-Assures good flavor quality during use
-Normal changes in flavor as the product ages
-Lower peanut flavor, slight stale notes develop
-Taste to determine if acceptable for use
-No microbiological risk when properly used (Problems occur if consumer places foods with high water content into the product; e.g. jelly)
STORAGE
Best when stored at room temperature
-High heat can cause oil separation and flavor changes
-Refrigerated temperatures make the product harder to spread
-Unopened and opened jars of peanut butter may be stored at room temperature
Keep the tube tightly closed and store in a cool place. Peanut Butter may be refrigerated to retain the product's optimum flavor, but it will not be as easy to spread. Freezing is not recommended.
