Where can I find a waterproof match case long enought to put REI Storm matches in without cutting down the match. I know I have seen them on this forum but can't find by doing a search.

It's made by Silva and I'm pretty sure I didn't have to cut down my REI matches to get them in.

Do a search for K&M matchcases. I have the longer version and love it. Edit: Look here. Looks like they have gone to mail order only for the time being, but at least they are still available.

I have been using a tubes from Airborne and Nuun for my REI Storm matches. I pack some tinder from Spark-lite in side to keep them rattling down.

Not as slick as a aluminium case (I have a few of those too) but much cheaper I actually like the Plastic Tube better for my bigger kits and use the aluminim cases for my smaller/lighter kits.

The Airborne cold medicine tubes will hold a full pack of REI stormproof matches perfectly. The lid is kind of like a tupperware lid, it seals tight and has the lip around the edge. To make mine less likely to be inadverdently popped off I wrap (orange) duct tape around the tube till its the same diameter as the lid. Dry matches AND duct tape. What else do you need?

Airborne can be found in most any drug store. Walmart has it, Walgreens and some other drug stores carry it and also a cheaper store brand that uses the same tubes. I also think the stuff works. Use it at the very first sign of a cold and it stops it. I haven't had a cold for 2 years.

REI has Nuun, at least the Tempe store does. Look in the isle with all the sports nutrition products... it is in the farthest east set of shelves.

Most bike shops also carry Nuun, I know for a fact that all Landis Shops carry it (I go to the one on Southern and 101, NW Corner).

Besides being great for matches, NUUN is an exceptional product. It is in my probably "stolen alien technology" category because it works so damn well... I rely on other nutrition products for calories on long training days, but NUUN keeps me going when all I need is electrolytes here in the hellish season we call summer in Arizona. It has completely replaced other electrolyte replacement products I used to rely on. The tube is much more convenient than most other products and it mixes effortlessly on any temperature water (simply drop one in and forget it!). It has never been easier to bring electrolyte drink mix with you on a hike, run or ride before. (BTW, I have no affiliation with NUUN… but if a rep is reading this they should feel free to send me free stuff )

Camelback does make a similar product that I have been using on/off since SHOT Show, but I have had such great success with NUUN that I keep going back to it when I know I have a long HOT training ride or hike ahead of me.
