Is anyone familiar with this brand? The prices seem decent, just curious as to how they handle daily wear/tear.

I have the Tactical 4.0 System. Wear the fleece 4.0 vest part of it every day (Ok, with very rare exceptions smile ) for about 1 year and 3 months so far, with all of my EDC kit items in it (about 10-15 lbs in the pockets, but almost unnoticeable neither for me, not for the others). It feels like my second skin. No signs of wear as of yet (6-8 auto-wash cycles, rope drying). I believe, it is a real marvel of clothes design. Everything as advertised on their web-site. The outer shell of the system is even more impressive. Had it all together well tested during the trip to Russia Siberia, from 0F and strong wind, to 80F and very humid weather conditions. Very comfortable!

Hmm, looks like the jackets are rigid and lofty enough that they won't print what's contained inside. I kinda like the idea of magnetic closures, although passing a keycard or credit card into your pocket could end up wiping out the mag strip on the back.

Seems to be a bit pricey, though, and probably too warm for my blood most of the time. Might be a good alternative to the shoulder bag for edc. Too bad they don't have a suit-type jacket in their repertoire.

I have had my Scotts e-vest for just over a year and really like it. The design is good, and you can carry a lot of gear without having to have a day pack. I like how I can go from a fleece vest to a jacket to a full winter coat just by adding sleeves or the outer jacket. My only complaint is the little cards they put in every pocket, letting you know what it’s for. I have had mine a year and just found another card, will it ever end? The outer coat is a bit bulky, so it’s not really good for packing up in a bag. For a good review check out http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/
